Group Blog Service Learning Day 2
Today, we stayed at Sage and worked to develop presentations for our upcoming speaking engagements. Soon, we will be speaking in Town Meeting as well as to the underclassmen, so we needed to update our presentations for these new audiences. While six group members worked on that, the remaining four group members worked on developing handouts to give to the people we present to and making a bulletin board to display in the hallway.
We then worked on the actual presentation we will take to businesses, and each group practiced in front of a faculty member. This was helpful, because our audience was seeing the presentation for the first time and was able to offer constructive feedback we can use when we actually present to businesses.
Today, we mostly took a "divide and conquer" approach in accomplishing the various tasks, which was effective because we had a lot of different things to get done. We used our time to make sure we are prepared, so on the future Service Learning days we are ready to present to businesses.
